  • Does Clim8 sell Clim8® branded products directly?

    No. Clim8, as an ingredient brand, engineers technologies which are available to your favorite brands through a licensing model.

    Our partners manufacture the end products, using Clim8® technologies to ensure optimum integration and quality.

  • How long do batteries last?

    Clim8® technology regulates heating automatically and in real time, providing comfort only when you need it. That’s why battery life is highly dependent on usage, although we do our utmost to ensure that our users get the maximum comfort from their garments.

    Battery life depends in particular on :

    • The comfort temperature set in the Clim8® app
    • The outdoor conditions
    • Your activity level
    • Your physical attributes
    • Your sensitivity to cold
    • Your feedback from your sessions
  • Are the Clim8® products washable?

    Some Clim8® products are washable and some other are not. Please refer to your product’s washing instructions.

  • What are the warranty terms for the Clim8® technology?

    As Clim8® technologies are embedded in end products from other brands, it is these brands that are legally responsible for the warranty to consumers. For more information on your product’s legal warranty, please refer to the warranty conditions on the brand’s website.

    Please note that the legal warranty period may differ from country to country.

  • Is the Clim8® app necessary?

    Yes, the Clim8® app is essential for initial product configuration. The parameters are then stored in the product’s Clim8® module, which can then operate without the Clim8® app.

    However, for optimum products performances and more advanced features, we do recommend having the Clim8® app open when wearing your product.

  • What if I forget my smartphone?

    The Clim8® app is essential only for initial product configuration. The parameters are then stored in the product’s Clim8® module, which can then operate without the Clim8® app.

  • Why do we ask for your physical attributes and activity in the Clim8® app?

    The physical attributes and activity selection allows you to further customize the heat to the specific needs of your body. The system turns on and off at different times and provides different heating speed and power, based on body-specific and activity patterns.

    Our algorithms automatically regulate the heat according to the temperature, your profile and your activity.

  • Why do we ask for feedback after each session?

    We anonymously collect your feedback after each session to refine your own heating experience and that of all Clim8® technology users.

  • Can I pair two or more Clim8® products with the Clim8® app?

    Yes, you can have different Clim8® products paired with the Clim8® app. However, in order to avoid connectivity issues, we recommend that you only pair one Clim8® product at a time.

  • Can I manage another person's Clim8® product on my smartphone?

    Yes, but the regulation won’t be 100% personalized to the other person.

Safety

  • How can I be sure that the heating system won't trigger an electrical incident?

    We have specific and complete security/safety control at all levels of the supply chain: hardware, software and textiles, in order to ensure the maximum safety of the system. All the testing is a combination of internal and independent external testing to ensure safety and compliance at all time.

    In addition, we’ve added an electronic safety feature, where the system automatically turns off if something abnormal is detected in order to ensure nobody get burnt.

    We have International Certifications as the CE or FCC, for most of our products.

    Also, all our products go through the TÜV (Technical Inspection Association), an association that assists companies to obtain certifications to enter and sell in a specific market.

  • Are there any contraindications to the use of heating products?

    Heating products are not recommended for people with impaired physical, sensory or mental capacities or people who are unable to feel hot or cold and suffer from skin sensation disorders.

    A doctor’s opinion is recommended before use.

  • Can I wear Clim8® heated garments if I am pregnant?

    Yes, it is not a problem for pregnant women to wear Clim8® heated garments.

  • Can I wear Clim8® heated garments if I have metallic implants such as a heart pacemaker?

    If you have a heart pacemaker, metal implants or insulin pump you should first consult with your doctor before using the products.

    Please refer to your product’s safety instructions for all medical related questions.

  • Can I wear an avalanche transceiver when using a Clim8® product?

    Avalanche transceivers emit a signal of 457KHZ on a closed signal loop. The Bluetooth functionality in the Clim8® module, or the electric current running through the garment, should not affect the signal emitted by the transceiver for search & rescue function.

    However we do NOT recommend to use your products with an avalanche transceiver.
